Let’s Get It On, in The Stranger

Ashes & Mo Suntzu’s “Let’s Get It On” single has been licensed and featured on the motion picture title, “The Stranger”. The film is the second piece in which The Camp has had a song featured alongside actor, Stone Cold Steve Austin. “Let’s Get It On” was also featured on the TV series, Dead Zone, and independent martial arts film, Honor.

The Camp Scores New Movie

Fresh for 2009, The Camp is back on the sliver screen’s speakers, in the Fox distributed film, Damage.

This time ’round, The Camp inked a licensing deal for not 1, but 3 of their past hit singles. Songs include, Dirty and Callin’ Em Out, taken from their debut album, The Empire Strikes, and Let’s Get It On, a popular single which has also been featured in the 2008 independent film, Honor, and a TV episode of The Dead Zone.

Damage, which stars WWE’s former 6 time World Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin, is a hard-edged, bare-knuckles fight film that focuses on the tough choices people make in times of recession. Post production of the film is in its final stages so fans should expect to see one of their favorite wrestler’s hit the theatre’s or stores by the end of this year or at the latest, early in 2010.

“Dirty” In Storm Seekers Film

The Camp has again, licensed another track, this time to the upcoming Storm Seekers film which should hit theatres or stores early in the new year. Their hit song, “Dirty” from The Empire Strikes LP will be featured in this ‘straight to dvd’ movie which stars a cast led by Daryl Hannah, who has appeared in films such as Kill Bill Vol.1 & 2, and Splash alongside Tom Hanks.

Camp Army Welcomes Edge

The latest buzz in the industry is that there has been another addition to the ever growing Camp Army clique. To confirm this, Edge, formerly of the Usual Suspecs, has joined the ranks of the Camp Army after years of working with the group as an affiliate.

The Art Of War II: Betrayal Film

Wesley Snipes is back in The Art Of War II: Betrayal. He plays Agent Neil Shaw who emerges from hiding to avenge the murder of his former mentor. In this sequel he stumbles onto a lethal trail of betrayal and corruption, but begins to realize that he’s being set-up after a number of dead bodies turn up and he’s singled out as the killer.

Mixed with action and martial arts, you will also find The Camp’s track, “Dirty”, from The Empire Strikes LP, in a high-powered action scene from the movie. The scene is set at a gas station where Snipes steals a cell phone from a group of thugs to compensate for his phone being tracked.

Vancouver A.I.D.S. Benefit

B. Diamond and Brougham label mates, the Titans are reaching out in their community to help raise funds for AIDS Vancouver at The Standard night club, downtown New West, on May 23rd.

The event is also sponsored by Vancouver West Coast Custom Chopper’s who will be giving out a free chopper in this ultimate AIDS awareness contest. Mo Suntzu – Owner & CEO of Brougham Records shouts out “B-DIAMOND & THE TITANS are coming out to support & give back to our community. All of the proceeds for the event go to the charity, and a large portion of the merchandize sold at the concert will also be given to help the battle of AIDS in Vancouver. We wanted to get involved and see how many people we can get out there and support!”

Big Boys & Big Shot Video Shoots

A shoot date has been set for various days in April for The Camp’s ‘Big Boys’ & ‘Big Shot’ releases. Post production should start in the first weeks of May, and a tentative release for the final product has been set in late May ’08.

Big Boys Single On Radio / The GM: Playlist Vol. 2

Fresh for 2008 is The Camp’s “Big Boys” single. It has been added to radio mix shows across the country. Make sure you support and request it at your local radio stations. In the works, is the “Big Boys” Remix and Video so keep a look out for that. A release has been set for April / May of this year.

Also, upcoming “Guerilla Movement: Playlist Vol.2″ mixtape which will be hosted by DJ Kay Slay, The Drama King is set to be released in May. Check back for updates and upcoming contest/give-aways on the new CD. Vol. 2 already indicates a much bigger headliner presence and much more heat than the first release

Brougham Signs New Deal

Its Official!! Brougham Records has inked a 3 year distribution deal for the label with Bungalo / Universal Music. This enables them to distribute their music throughout USA and Canada.

Don’t think this deal came over night though. 10 years of hard work, paying dues, and 15,000 albums, records, and mixtapes throughout the streets was the source of this outcome. If you think that was the hard part, think again, now comes the real challenge.
